During Memorial Day weekend, Attorney Petrova attended the annual meeting of the Tax Section of the North Carolina Bar Association in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. Tax attorneys from North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia came to share knowledge about recent developments in federal and state taxation.
Presentations and workshops covered a diverse set of topics, including successor tax liability, corporate reorganizations, structuring foreign investment in real estate, tax aspects of settlement payments, developments in IRS Collections and criminal tax issues.
As the Tax Section’s Chair of the Membership Committee and Liaison to the Young Lawyers Division, Ms. Petrova participates in the Tax Council’s quarterly meetings.
